Manny Santiago, a writer/photographer from Long Beach, California, to put it simply, is a strange one. When he's not almost single-handedly running HESO, the culture magazine he started in 2004, he loves cooking, eating, hitch-hiking, running, listening to music, playing the drums, body-surfing in the ocean, reading Thomas Pynchon, ladies in general, and of course any kind of photography, but especially anything to do with film, especially especially the fix, that most mercurial of liquid silvers, the aroma of which addicted he will most likely stay till he succumbs to its siren-esque fumes so far in the future that digital will be retro.
