The reporters have a mission, one of survival that includes taking time with patience, waiting in the shadow for the perfect light, the moment which will illuminate the scene, humanity revealed. BOP is more than its principle “Do It Yourself”, it’s seven men for seven gazes. They offer us the possibility to cross lines and borders, to enter a philosophy of life that could be ours, they offer us the world.To take a photo just for taking a photo is pointless. The photographer is like a storyteller who helps the other to open the doors of their consciousness. We could call it a humanistic photography…

After several years of activity, BOP decided to issue a retrospective book featuring extracts for the main exhibitions by members and guests. This 110 pages book (colour and B&W) was published in a limited edition of 250 numbered copies. It was released during the Copenhagen Photo festival 2011. The book foreword has been kindly written by the extraordinary photographer, Reza.

Reza is a photojournalist for National Geographic, the author of twenty-six books, and the winner of the World Press Photo award, Lucy Award at lincoln centre in New York and the Infinity Award by the ICP in New York | read more at http://rezaphotography.org/).

BOP name originated in French, it could be translated as: “wave and particle craft”.
BOP is an association whose goal is to promote film photography. It offers each member virtual space for their online portfolio and also aims at organizing collective paper exhibitions and publishing booklets. All BOP members are passionate photographers who aim at achieving high standards for each picture together with artistic coherency in their exhibitions.
