Longwei comes back to BOP after a long road trip along the south of USA. The vision he brings to us is far from what we are used to see in his previous exhibitions. First : he decided to shoot in colour, and that’s really unsual for him. Then, you quickly realize when looking at these pictures that there is really emptiness all around : no people, no animals. Only remains the feeling that human came here, and that he left something before going somewhere else. The square format of the photos forces you to stop and watch them quietly….

Discount Fuel project. Two thousands miles of ride in the south, one camera and the idea to gather visual prints of what can actually be seen in the USA. Four days to wipe out thirty years of exposure to American culture, four days to rework, reshape my vision of USA.
