Potosi’s mine – 2003
Potosi is a city of 155000 inhabitants, located at 4000m high, in Bolivia. This 400 years old city was created on silver. Here, people still work 12 hours a day in the mine. Along this long history, 8 millions people died here.
On the Silk Road – 2005
This expo is related to a trip that was done in China on the Silk Road. Photos are mostly related to Ouighour people even Han are very present in the region, with a focus on silk work in Hotan. So don’t forget that I wanted to show a traditionnal face of this part of China… which is not the only thing that you would see in streets… This exhibition has been published in a french magazine called PHOTOFAN (number 11) during summer 2006.
