Tanakha Portraits from Burma – 2008

A bunch of Tanakha-Portraits from my last trip to Asia, during november 2008. The TANAKHA is, at the same time, a cosmetic and a beauty cream for women and children faces. You can find this special custom in BURMA (MYANMAR) making the women more beautiful than anywhere else in this area. I was very happy overthere, because the people like to be pictured. So, it was very easy for me to make some nice shoots. Enjoy !

Every street has a story to tell…

This exhibition will hopefully tell that Asian streets have many stories to tell. The stories they tell might be true, they also might be pure fiction. There might not be any obvious story. I am but a chronicler, a mere scribe. Does one really care? Isn’t it as true as we like it to be? The streets are the roots of all evil, err, sorry, of all street-photography. Many shots were made at night (“It was a dark and stormy night…” of course), but many shots were also made during the day. Some in a rush, some just before running…

Bolivia in the air 2008

This exhibition is the second I present about Bolivia. The fisrt one was about Potosi’s mine… not so positive or encouraging… I decided to show another face of this country. This one is related to the incredibly changing atmosphere that you can get when you travel around the country. From the altiplano at four thousand metre high to the dangerous roads going from La Paz to jungle cities such as Coroicco, from the seaside-like titicaca’s lake to the incredible salar de Uyuni… Well, the “imaging” here is amazing. Then, I should prepare a third exhibit about people ! So much…
